I once heard an interesting suggestion: We should annex Mexico and make it the 51st state. With some American ingenuity we could also turn it into a tourist paradise. We could then collect taxes from Mexico and not have to worry about illegal immigrants anymore.
I think many of the Mexicans who are here illegally would not want to go along with it. They think they should be "taking back" part of the South of our country. They think it is theirs. Unfortunately, I think they are succeeding with the help of our government. But don't get me started. LOL

We would simply be finishing the job that was started in the Mexican War - I wonder if most Mexicans would go along with it!
