Sharing A Little Water

I received the following email as it appears below. The very last sentence is SO true. If it hasn't already happened, I hope your heart will be awakened to how much animals really need our love and care.

Email:

At 120 degrees in Australia, it was so hot for a week that Koalas were asking people for water. It's never before been seen.

One went to a house to try to hide from the heat and to get a bit of shade and here's what happened when the owner gave him something to drink. It's really cute.

Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened.

A wet bear. wow.

There's a Jackie Chan movie I watched earlier in the year in which he is some sort of secret agent, and he is put up in a luxury hotel in Australia. One of the amenities of the hotel is a little tree with a live koala in it.

A snide remark? :-) It's not that the koala is wet, it's that it was cute that he wanted some refreshment for his whole body and appears to be enjoying the water like any of us might do after being out in the heat. Koalas are cute in the first place but this just upped the cute-ness factor.

No, it wasn't snide :). I can't be snide about koala's.

You're right. Snideness and koalas just don't mix. ;-)

Such a cute picture and a sad need to have, but at least someone helped the little guy. People say many unkind things to me because I don't turn dumped animals away from my door, but they have all given me far more than I could ever give them.
